Beaver Scouts (6-8)
Here, at the 1st Lower Morden we have a very active Beaver Colony. We meet every term time Tuesday evening from 5.45-6.45pm at the Group Headquarters in Bow Lane and we average 20-25 active members.
Beaver Scouts are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old and are the Scout Association’s youngest members.
As a Beaver, there are a lot of fun, adventurous, inclusive and challenging things you can do. You will take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities. They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time that they spend a night away from home so that’s a real adventure for them.
There are a huge range of badges that can be earned and these will be achieved by working towards them with the rest of the colony.
Weekly meetings at our HQ will include both indoor and outdoor activities, exploring our local community as well as organised activities in a variety of different places.
